This is a list of links to the news sites I frequent the most to discover articles about hazards and disasters.
1. The Guardian - This is my favorite news source and I've used it for a few other classes as well to gather information. It has a diverse range of topics that you can easily find at the top of the page and then browse through. And with every topic you click on, it gives you other related topics that weren't necessarily on the front page. This is the same with articles. In each article, there is almost always links to other articles on their site that follow the same story or articles that have similar topics as well. I can pretty much find anything I need here.
2. The New York Times - I like this source because it is a popular news site and reputable as far as the kinds of articles it posts. I like the navigation on the front page of this site as well, and the articles are usually thorough in what they cover. The only downside is that you have to be a member to view more than a certain amount of articles, but if I copy the article title that I think has something to do with hazards or disaster, I can paste it into Google Search and click the link and it will let me read.
3. BBC News and CNN are two sites that I use because I know that they are also reputable and give thorough information. I feel like they don't have as many articles dealing with the environment, hazards, or disasters, or at least not very apparent ones and I sometimes have to dig around for a while trying to find something.
